about

co.create is an independent consultancy led by attorney and advocate Zulma Miranda.

Our dominant systems for resolving conflict are broken. From the mechanisms international bodies deploy for quelling violent uprisings to the soulless legal process for divorce, our modern approach to navigating conflict in relationships at all levels is rooted in punishment rather than healing – and too often sidelines the voices of those most in need of justice. This leads to an endless, entrenched cycle of conflict that is, in turn, deepening the most pressing crises of our time.

To transform our world, we have to transform our relationships with one another. Humanity is deeply interconnected; by creating spaces where that interconnectedness can emerge, we open the door for solutions that are more collaborative, creative, and mutually beneficial.

co.create exists to foster those sacred spaces – where people can come together across lines of difference to build a better way forward. Together, we can create a society that solves conflict through a lens of healing and humanity.

“When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.”

Zulma’s Story

Zulma Miranda has worked to advance social justice on a global level for over 20 years, both as an international human rights lawyer on peace and security issues and as a philanthropy leader.

In her career and her personal life, she has seen first-hand the need for more humane, inclusive, and creative conflict resolution. Now, Zulma is bringing lessons from her work abroad back home: combining two decades of wisdom and experience with conflict resolution tools and restorative justice practices - including mediation, circle keeping and conflict coaching - to shape her private practice, co.create.

Through this practice, she seeks to offer clients the tools, resources, and space to unlock the solutions that already lie within.
